Listed prices are not checkout totals. Confirm rental duration, resident eligibility, fees and deposits before paying. Rental times are Mountain time.

Most reservation fees are taxed on top of the listed price. Add-on permits cost extra: $40 for amplified sound (only with a reservation) and $10 for beer/wine. Canceling more than 10 days out gets a refund less a $20 processing fee; later cancellations and bad weather get no refund, and moving a date or site can carry a processing fee. Extra picnic tables cost more at Kristin Armstrong Municipal, Julia Davis and Ann Morrison parks. The city says fees can vary by event or facility.

Before booking

  • Can be booked as much as a year (365 days) ahead.
  • June through August, weekday bookings run only from 6:30 p.m. until sunset because city Playcamps use the park.
  • Bookings cover April 15 to October 15; the rest of the year, sites are first come, first served.
  • Ann Morrison, Esther Simplot, Julia Davis and Veterans Memorial parks open their bookings on January 1 (from 12:01 a.m.); other sites can be booked up to 365 days ahead.
  • Half days run either 9 a.m.-2 p.m. or 3-8 p.m.; full days run 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • You pay when you book; the date isn't held without payment.
  • Most reservable sites include electric power once paid for, except the Marianne Williams gazebo and the garden ceremony sites.
  • Only beer and wine are allowed in city parks, for people 21 and older, and bringing more than 7.5 gallons needs a separate permit.
  • No glass, confetti, rice or birdseed; grills must be self-contained with a drip pan and kept out from under trees.
  • Canopies must be weighted rather than staked, and any tent over 400 square feet needs a Boise Fire Department permit.
  • Inflatables need a free city permit and must come from an approved rental company; water inflatables aren't allowed.
  • Parks close at sunset unless posted otherwise.
