- Shelters rent by 4-hour block: 8 a.m.-noon, 12:30-4:30 p.m. or 5-9 p.m.
- A booking covers only the shelter, not the lawn, trails, playground or splash pad around it.
- Gatherings of 75 people or more need a Special Event Permit.
- Renters may bring a single food truck, picked from the city's list of approved vendors, to feed their own guests; sno-cone, ice cream and similar vendors aren't allowed because of existing park contracts.
- The city doesn't rent out whole parks.
