Before booking
- A standard booking is capped at 100 people; bigger groups go through the Special Events Coordinator at (208) 612-8580.
- Put your setup arrival time and leave time, cleanup included, in the booking notes so the shelter is cleaned before you arrive.
- Shelters are rented April through October. April openings depend on the weather, and a heavy snow year can push them back.
- Bookings for the next season open in November and are taken in the order they come in. You pay in full when you book.
- A shelter nobody has booked is open to anyone, first come, first served. The city only guarantees a cleaning before paid bookings.
- Groups expecting more than 100 people need the city's special event application.
- Alcohol is allowed only in certain city parks, under the city code's park alcohol rules.
- City parks are closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
