Before booking

  • The fee schedule marks this shelter as not allowing rented amusements such as bounce houses.
  • The grill burns charcoal; bring your own.
  • The 2026 shelter season ran April 13 to October 4. The 2027 season is April 12 to October 3, 2027, and bookings open January 4, 2027, first come, first served.
  • Prices listed here are the family rates. Non-profit and business groups pay higher rates shown on the same fee schedule.
  • Weekday rates cover Monday to Thursday; Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays are charged at the weekend rate.
  • Allow at least 5 business days for the city to process and approve a request. Dates aren't held until the permit is approved and paid.
  • Each booking is for one day; shelters can be used from 9 a.m. until sunset.
  • The booking covers the shelter only. Nearby courts, playgrounds, splash pads and fields stay open to everyone.
  • Alcohol is allowed from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., but no glass and no sales. A city alcohol permit is needed if a host or vendor serves drinks.
  • Amplified sound needs the director's approval anywhere except the Q'emiln Grand Pavilion, and music must stop by 10 p.m.
  • Water slides and dunk tanks aren't allowed. Staff must approve where stakes or inflatables go.
  • Cancel at least four weeks ahead for an 80% refund; after that there are no refunds, credits or date changes.
  • Private rentals can't be open to the public; a public event needs a special event permit, applied for about 60 days ahead.
