Non-profits pay the resident rate with documentation. If the shelter is left dirty or damaged, the city bills the renter its actual cleanup and repair costs.
Before booking
- Each booking is one 4-hour block, and your setup and cleanup must fit inside it.
- A booking holds only the shelter; the rest of the park stays open to everyone.
- The city won't book a shelter for a money-making activity.
- Bring your own barbecue and a grease tray; grills can't sit on concrete or sidewalks, and hot coals can't go on the lawn or in trash cans.
- Alcohol needs a city permit; glass, loud music, dunk tanks, slip 'n slides and water inflatables aren't allowed.
- Parks are open sunrise to sunset.
